The queens we offer for sale from our apiaries are all bred from our survivor stocks. Our Queen donors are chosen from hives that are living in our Pacific Northwest Apiary and have been living here for at least two years prior to being selected for use as a donor queen.  In addition to climate stability we also breed for gentleness, high production, mite resistance and early spring robust growth. Our main Apiary is remotely isolated from any commercial farm or bee operation. 

Besides the genetic qualities of the queens, our drones are chosen from sister hives using the same criteria. We use the  saturation method to give some assurance as to the bloodlines of the Drone. We have three different bee yards each  one is of a separate race. 

We do not use poisons or other harsh chemicals in our hives. Occasionally, we do acquire breeding stock from Glen Apiaries in Fallbrook California.  These donor queens are instrumentally inseminated at their apiary. Our stock changes as the donor queens are rotated so watch our offerings for available stock
